The coaches make this the most amazing experience. The lessons taught, positive attitude and fun they add to each class makes us keep coming back!!!

My husband, 13 year old and 4 year old all attend MMA classes here. Can honestly say it’s the best thing that has happened for our family. The community is pretty awesome and the coaches are able to fluctuate to meet the needs of the whole class. So glad we found them

Our kids love Coach Stedman and Coach Barnes. They have learned so much in just a couple months. We’ve noticed improvements in confidence, coordination, and focus. We highly recommend Cosens Oxford!

A wonderful place for your child to learn MMA! Along with learning MMA they are teaching your child life skills to help their overall mental and physical growth. They do a good job at keeping the classes serious but still really fun and engaging for kids. One of the really amazing things for parents is they offer kid activity nights; so us parents can drop the kids off and have time to ourselves for date night or whatever. My kids love the coaches here as well. 🙂

This is a GREAT place for your child to learn karate. If you're looking for character development, skill progression, and confidence boosting, you will find that here. However, if you want it, this place is SO. MUCH. MORE. I have laughed here, cried here, hugged kicked and punched here. Both my son and myself are in classes here and it's a community. I can't say enough about the coaches here, and the absolutely incredible environment they've cultivated here. They've raised money with can drives for students in financial need, helped me organize a women's self defense class, host parents nights out, and even hosted my son's last birthday (his 7th)! Which, by the way, I received so many compliments on because it was so unique and his friends LOVED it. I would give them 10 stars if I could because I really don't know how Coach Stedman & Barnes are so happy, funny, and uplifting every single day. They make it amazing ❤️

I can't say enough how amazing the coaches are for both my son and myself. They work with the kids and really bring out the best in ourselves and others. THANK YOU COACHES!!!

Coach Stedman and Coach Barnes are fantastic! They teach a well rounded curriculum consisting of both stand up, ground, and defensive tactics. They are excellent with children, teaching them discipline, technique, and physical fitness, all while making it a fun and enjoyable experience for all.

I don’t write many reviews, but I’d like to share how grateful I am for this gym. I put off martial arts for a long time expecting that most gyms would be intense and intimidating, but this gym is very much the opposite—welcoming and supportive. Everyone is met at their own skill level and encouraged to do 1% better each class. Coach Stedman and Coach Barnes keep the classes lively, fun, and engaging. I would highly recommend them and this gym!

I started classes this past summer (summer 2024) and have been loving it! i feel much stronger and am happy to go to class and sweat it out. The coaches are amazing and very supportive and the classes are engaging. Everyone is so nice to be around and I absolutely recommend taking classes here!

My five year old son has been going to Cosens for about a year and a half now. He has really cracked out of his shell and has learned a lot. I can see the growth and progression and am extremely satisfied with our experience so far. I would recommend to any parent looking for exercise, new friends, discipline and confidence building.

I would recommend Cosens MMA to anyone who is looking for a hobby to build their child’s self esteem, perseverance, and focus. Our son is already showing the positive effects after only 3 weeks.

Cosens martial arts is absolutely amazing. Coach steddman and coach barns are phenomenal at what they do. Before I signed up I didn't know what to do with myself and have become much happier and honestly, it was the best decision of my life. Everyone at Cosens bring great positive energy and the coaches I can tell are very passionate about what they do and can teach anyone from new to pro and are great people too not just good coaches. No matter how I feel before I go in to class, I always feel great when I leave and it's because of the teaching and blessings the coaches bring as well as the beautiful people I see everyday. You get the energy you exert and i try to inspire and bring great energy everyday and hope it sreads like a wild fire. I hope to see the Cosens team in the ufc one day. Keep it 💯 and God bless

We love Cosens Martial arts in Oxford. The kids love it, and the coaches are the best.

My son did his 2 day personal lesson, to see if this is what he really wanted to do. And he ABSOLUTELY LOVED IT!!! His coaches are amazing and are very knowledgeable! My son has ADHD (I don't medicate, besides herbal supplements.) And they worked with him amazingly! Let's say we are signed up for the next 6 months!

My daughter has been going here for almost 3 months and I can honestly say it is worth every penny! Coach Stedman truly cares about each and every one of her students. My daughter has been more respectful and confident since joining. Highly highly recommend!!

I’d recommend cosens to anyone looking for discipline and a confidence boost. When my son first started karate he was very introverted, not very confident in himself and was having trouble focusing in school. Fast forward 5 months and my boy has grown so much in EVERY aspect. He is confident with himself and his decisions, he has started giving himself jobs at home to discipline himself, and is now excelling in school. I cannot recommend cosens enough. Not to mention Coach Steadman is amazing with the kids and always holds them accountable for their actions.

Just starting and they made it very easy. They are very energetic and made it exciting for my son to get started!

We love Cosens! Our daughter has been in the black belt class for almost a year now. She has recently acquired her orange belt. She has improved her focus, self- confidence and listening skills. I am a new student who just recently started. I’ve always wanted to take a self defense class along with karate. I’ve taken it in the past when I was younger but just never got back into it. Lots of fun learning new techniques. Instructors have been very friendly and helpful.

I’m pretty new to this place and it’s been awesome so far! I’m brand new at adult mma and they do a good job with both the community aspect as well as education of the sport. I would definitely recommend if you want to try this 🙂

Highly recommended this place if you’re trying to get your kid into some activity. The coaches here make it super friendly and fun while being strict and and serious. I’ve seen such a huge difference in my sons confidence. He was adamant that he did not want to do karate. Until we came for the free trial class one weekend. That’s all it took and he was absolutely hooked. It’s something he looks forward to every week. You won’t regret bringing your kids here. And they even offer adult classes as well.

The coaches are so very welcoming and they listen to your concerns no matter how small you may think it is! They do a wonderful job working with any challenge that is presented to them! They take it very seriously that you’re trusting them with the most important thing in your life 🖤 Keep up the fantastic work and continue making the changes for the better in all the tiny tots lives that come through the door 🖤
